I know that images are powerful.  I also know that if you watch too much bad American TV, including some types of "news" reports, you may have (unconsciously) internalized an image of Palestinians as solely angry young men throwing stones at Israelis.  (Of course, the stones are not terribly effective against Israeli machine guns, but that's another story.) 

Palestinians look like this, right?

I would like to broaden your repertoire of images by posting some pictures of people I met during my stay in Bethlehm.  The selection is random and I will post them without comment.  Just keep in mind that our American tax dollars are supporting Israeli policies which hurt these people.
